Zoe Saldana (born June 19 in 1978) was born to Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. Her father is Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. She was born in Queens. When she was 10, she and her parents relocated to the Dominican Republic. They lived in the Dominican Republic for seven more years. Zoe found a great interest in performing dances while being abroad. She began her training at ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy in order to master ballet as well as many other dance styles.
